In this panel discussion, chamber leaders will share how they have successfully diversified revenue streams through creative and mission-aligned strategies that strengthen both financial sustainability and member value.

Panelists will discuss real-world examples of successful chamber travel programs, innovative sponsorship models, partnership opportunities, and mission-driven funding approaches that generate revenue while supporting organizational goals. Attendees will gain insight into what has worked, what challenges chambers have faced, and how to identify opportunities that fit their community and capacity. Whether your chamber is looking to expand existing programs or explore entirely new revenue ideas, this session will provide practical inspiration, proven strategies, and candid conversation from chambers finding success beyond dues.

Attendees will learn how to create a weekly rhythm that supports focus, relationship building, follow up, productivity, team clarity, and sustainable leadership. Chambers across the western United States are already using these tools with meaningful results, and each attendee will receive a free digital copy of The Chamber Clarity Agenda.

Chambers are constantly sharing important updates, events, member news, advocacy work, and community stories, but in a crowded communication landscape, simply getting more information out is not enough. This session will show chamber leaders how to use storytelling as a practical marketing tool to make their messages clearer, more memorable, and more meaningful. Attendees will learn how to identify the stories already happening inside their chamber, turn everyday updates into stronger content, better prioritize what their audience actually cares about, and create communication that feels less like noise and more like value.

Strong Chamber boards do not happen by accident. This practical session will help Chamber leaders build a simple, realistic board development system that starts with onboarding and continues through every board meeting. Participants will learn how to clarify board roles, strengthen the CEO-board partnership, support new members, improve meeting agendas, and create a culture of governance, accountability, and strategic leadership without overwhelming volunteers or requiring a large budget.

This breakout session will focus on tactical capabilities, emerging tools, and strategic applications that chamber professionals can realistically implement in their organizations.

The Evolving Leader: Leading People Through Change, Complexity, and Connection
The challenges facing today's leaders aren't just operational—they're deeply human.

Throughout this conference, we've explored advocacy, innovation, AI, board development, communication, revenue strategies, partnerships, and organizational growth. But every one of those initiatives succeeds or fails based on one thing: leadership.

In this engaging and highly interactive session, Dr. Kristine Medyanik brings together the themes of the conference through the lens of human behavior, leadership psychology, and organizational effectiveness. Drawing from concepts featured throughout The Evolving Leader Fellowship, participants will discover why people resist change, how motivation influences performance, what creates psychological safety, and why emotional intelligence, communication, and decision-making are essential leadership skills in today's rapidly changing workplace.

Rather than offering another leadership theory, this session provides practical frameworks leaders can immediately apply to build trust, navigate conflict, strengthen teams, make better decisions, and create cultures where people—and organizations—can thrive.

Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of themselves, their teams, and the leadership practices that create lasting influence long after the conference ends.

    Participants will:

    • Recognize how motivation, mindset, and psychological safety influence team performance.
    • Understand why conflict, resistance, and disengagement are often signals—not problems.
    • Learn practical tools for communicating through change and uncertainty.
    • Explore leadership habits that build trust, accountability, and resilience.
    • Connect emotional intelligence, decision-making, and courageous leadership into one practical framework.
    • Develop strategies for leading people—not just managing projects—in an increasingly complex world.

Speaker: Dr. Kristine Medyanik - The Evolving Leader Fellowship
