    Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 DOE, negotiable
    Benefits: Health stipend, retirement, cell phone allocation, and mileage reimbursement

    Position Overview
    The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce (GPJCC) President & CEO is the organization’s key representative and business advocate responsible for providing executive leadership, strategic direction, and vision for the development and fulfillment of the Chamber’s mission and goals. The President & CEO represents the voice of the Chamber which plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing its business community. GPJCC is looking for a dynamic, passionate leader that will ensure the vitality, development, impact, and relevance of the Chamber continues.
     
    The President & CEO is responsible for the overall management of the day-to-day operations and reports to the GPJCC Board of Directors.
     
    Responsibilities and duties
    The President & CEO of GPJCC is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, growth, and overall operations of the Chamber. This role requires a deep commitment to the business community, fostering economic development, promoting local businesses, and enhancing the quality of life within the community. The President & CEO will collaborate with a group of diverse stakeholders and drive initiatives that create a strong economy.
    • Advocate for businesses at all levels of government.
    • Provide effective communications to the Chamber membership, business leaders, and community partners.
    • Create and align relationships among member businesses and business leaders.
    • Partner with local and regional agencies who provide resources to businesses.
    • Identify new opportunities for growth and leadership in the business community.
    • Arrange educational programs to advance the professional, technical, and managerial skills of the membership.
    • Stay current with trends and new policies: identify what is widely important to GPJCC members and local business to keep them informed so they can make relevant changes to their businesses.
    • Ensure GPJCC is aligned with other regional economic development organizations and share resources to expand local and regional economic development.
    • Support education partners to build great careers and technical education programs to develop a skilled and talented workforce.
    • Recruit and train next-generation leaders with fresh perspectives for the Board and program/service positions; recruit people who care about GPJCC, its mission and members.
    • Engage with staff, volunteers, directors, members and partners with the expectation that they will be motivated and proud to serve the Chamber.
    • Manage Visitor Center operations and volunteers.
    • Prepare annual budget and review monthly financial reports.
    • Ensure GPJCC is managed and operated responsibly and professionally.
     
     Minimal Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in the areas of public relations, business, communication, or related field or related work experience.
    • 3+ years of management experience.
    • Chamber/Non-profit/Business experience required.
    • Effective oral and written communication including public speaking experience.
    • Proven track record of successfully working with board of directors, governments, and volunteers.
    • Strong understanding of local economic and business dynamics.
    • Strategic thinker with ability to execute plans and initiatives.
