You are invited to the 2014 Oregon Chamber Leadership Convention! (Agenda Attached) This Convention is hosted by The Chamber of Medford/Jackson County Ambassadors and we all are extremely excited to showcase Medford and our beautiful Rogue Valley.
This is the annual State Convention for Greeters & Ambassadors, and this year we are opening it up to other Chamber members who want to participate and be involved in education, panels, tours, and hearing dynamic speakers. Attached is agenda and we are hoping that you will either send Chamber staff or Ambassadors/Greeters to Medford August 14th-16th.
There are some fabulous guest speakers lined up that you will not want to miss:
Ray Davis, CEO of Umpqua Bank. Mr. Davis has been recognized in numerous national publications, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, BusinessWeek, Newsweek, and CNBC. Mr. Davis is also the author of Leading for Growth, and his newest book Leading Through Uncertainty: How Umpqua Bank Emerged from the Great Recession Better and Stronger than Ever.

Robin Thompson, MS Robin has over 20 years’ experience speaking to numerous Fortune 500 clients. Most recently, she was Vice President of Development at a university where she created the first-ever Marketing Department. She is a faculty member at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management teaching online leadership classes in their MBA program. Her first book is Know Stress to No Stress—A Step by Step Guide to Achieving Life Balance. She currently writes a daily blog chronicling her challenge to give something away every day for one year atwww.GivingChallenge.blogspot.com.
We have also arranged for some fantastic tours of our area. You will have the opportunity to go on the Harry & David factory tour, take a trolley ride and taste amazing wine from our region, award winning cheese and chocolate or tour and taste at one of the best craft breweries in the state.
Of course, the basket give aways are one of the best parts of this convention, so please plan on bringing two baskets full of items from your area! There will be hospitality tables hosted by other Chambers at the Saturdaynight reception and a chance to perform a skit or present a video for those interested in hosting the 2016Convention. We also ask that each Chamber bring decorations to include a centerpiece and place setting for 10 people that will be given away at Saturday morning breakfast (please mark on the registration form). Have fun bringing unique things from your area!
